Phone Number QR Code Generator

Make a QR code that dials your number. People scan, confirm, and they are calling you — no mistyped digits.

Include the country code so it works for visitors from other countries.

Stays on your device. Error correction switches to High so the code still scans.

Keep at least 2–4 so scanners can find the edges.

Before you print

  • Test it with at least two phones (iPhone camera and an Android phone).
  • Size: at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide; add 1 cm for every 10 cm of scanning distance.
  • Contrast: dark code on a light background, with a clear border around it.
  • Format: use SVG for print and signs — it stays sharp at any size.

How it works

The code contains a tel: link such as tel:+15551234567. Every smartphone understands it and opens the dialer with your number ready to call.

Where a phone QR code helps

  • Vehicle and shop signs — people can call while standing nearby, without writing anything down.
  • Real estate boards — “Call the agent” straight from the sign.
  • Emergency and service stickers on equipment, lifts and machines.
  • Lost-and-found tags on keys, luggage and pet collars.

Tips

  • Print the number in text next to the code as a backup.
  • Test it with a phone from another network before printing a large batch.
  • For a complete contact card, use the vCard QR code generator.

Frequently asked questions

Does scanning call the number immediately?

No. The phone shows the number and asks the person to confirm the call. Nobody is called without tapping the call button.

Should I include the country code?

Yes, for anything that might be seen by visitors, tourists or customers abroad. A number such as +33 1 23 45 67 89 works from any country; a local number may not.

Can I use it for a toll-free number?

Yes. Enter the number as you would dial it. Note that toll-free numbers often cannot be called from other countries.
