About Qrly

Qrly is a free QR code generator built around one simple promise: the code you download is yours, works forever and costs nothing.

Why we built it

Many QR code sites ask you to sign up, add watermarks, or create “dynamic” codes that send every scan through their servers — and stop working when a free trial ends. Printed menus, business cards and packaging then lead to an error page. Qrly only creates static codes: your content is written directly into the pattern, so there is nothing that can expire.

Private by design

Codes are generated entirely in your browser. Links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and logos you add are never uploaded or stored on our servers. Your design preferences (colors and style) are remembered in your own browser for convenience.

Standards we follow

Codes follow the ISO/IEC 18004 QR code standard and the formats phone cameras recognise: vCard 3.0 for contacts, the WIFI: format for networks, mailto:, tel: and SMSTO: for messages, and official WhatsApp and Google Maps links.

How the site is funded

Qrly is free to use and supported by advertising. Ads are clearly labelled and never change the codes you create.
